Meet our counselors!

Adrienne Linero earned her Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, as well as her Master's Degree in Counseling, from California State University, Fullerton in 1997.  She started her school counseling career at Hueneme High School in Oxnard, California.  After three years she joined Simi Valley Unified School District and has spent the majority of her counseling career as a counselor at Simi Valley High School.  Adrienne became part of the Simi Institute family in 2012 and thoroughly enjoys populations such as Workforce and Innovation Opportunity Act, Department of Rehabilitation, Workers Compensation, and Private Vocational Rehabilitation students.  When not at work, Adrienne loves spending quality time with her husband and two children and especially loves when it includes camping at the beach or mountains.

Nicole Pacheco earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from California State University, Northridge and holds Pupil Personnel Services credentials in School Counseling and School Psychology. In 2001, Nicole started her counseling career in the Los Angeles Unified School District at Van Nuys High School. She then worked at Royal High School and Santa Susana High School prior to joining the adult education division of the Simi Valley Unified School District. Nicole works closely with our high school diploma students and manages our Pearson-VUE test center in addition to working with English as a Second Language, Cosmetology, Welding, Machine Technology, and concurrently enrolled high school students. Nicole believes that finding a rewarding career requires a lot of research and introspection and she is happy to help our high school diploma students with this process. Nicole enjoys hiking, whitewater kayaking, and backpacking.
