Dental Technology

Dental Technologist

The Dental Technology program offers three courses with a certificate of completion for each six-month course. By completing all three courses over 18 months, students qualify to take the RG test and become a recognized graduate through the National Board of Certification. 


Students must complete:  Course 1:  Introduction to Dental Technology to become eligible to enroll in either Course 2:  Fixed Prosthodontic Appliances or Course 3:  Removable Prosthodontic Appliances.


Description of Courses


Course 1: “Introduction to Dental Technology” 

Learn Tooth Morphology, Tooth Anatomy, Complete Denture Theory, Infection Control, Full Crown Theory, Oral Anatomy, and Dental Materials I & II. 


Course 2: “Removable Prosthodontic Appliances”

Learn complete Dentures Theory, complete Dentures Lab, Dental Material II, Orthodontic Technology Theory, and Partial Denture Technology Theory.


Course 3: “Fixed Prosthodontic Appliances”

Learn Dental Materials III, Ceramics Theory, Ceramics Lab, Crown and Bridge Theory, Crown and Bridge Lab.

Advanced Dental Technology

Advanced classes designed to provide continuing education hours for graduate dental technologists. Classes feature guest speakers from the dental community discussing the latest technologies, trends, products and services available. Classes are the third or fourth Saturday of every month. Upon successful completion, student will earn a certificate of completion, which can be applied for continuing education credit.


Prerequisites: Students must be a dental technology graduate, laboratory owner, or certified dental technician (CDT)

Course Fee:  $35 One-time fee


Dates:  12 Saturdays (TBD)
